Hello from France
I think you are the family of the pilot Milton H Ramsey. I'm very happy to contact you. My grand father was a farmer and a blockhaus of the first world war was into his fields. With a few persons are helped him to hit in first in the bunker and after in a house of an old woman : Mrs Sophie Vervisch. I've send him todat a letter with a few photographies. I would like to write some pages for the people of the two hamlets not to forget the story of the very brave pilot. The hamlet where he landed in parachute and the other where the airplane fell. Best wishes.

Love this website - we are considering the same type of thing for our PA to NC Ramsey family. Speaking of which, we (Lincoln Co NC Research Group) are attempting to write and publish two volumes on our NC Ramsey family which we have a fair amount of evidence were derived from Bucks Co, PA. The migrators from PA to NC were William and David Ramsay (and later brother Robert) in 1765. these two brothers are strongly thought to be sons of Thomas Ramsay and Mary Darrah Johnston of Bucks Co., PA. Thomas' father may have been William Ramsay, b. ca. 1660s in Scotland, according to at least one account, but there is much confusion about this for a lack of hard evidence. This William supposedly went to northern Ireland for a short spell before embarking for America - similar to your own William Ramsay. My question to you is: How did you find your information about your William in Ireland and thence from Dundee, Scotland. We are experiencing many road blocks in obtaining reliable information and documentation. Thanx for any help you can give. I'm at wpremo@comcast.net

Hello, I'm looking for some help. I am trying to find my great great grandmother, Annie Ramsey Martin. She was born around 1855 in Knoxville and I think her father is Dr. Frank Ramsey. I live in Ohio and been using the internet as much as possible. Is there anyone that has information on the children of Dr. Frank Ramsey that can tell me more about Anne Ramsey? I hope to do some research this summer in Knoxville. Thank you. (lewier1@earthlink.net)

Michael, you could be related. We are looking for the descendants of two of the early Ramsey brothers. I recommend you or another male Ramsey in your line get a DNA test to see where you fit in the Ramsey/Ramsay family.

Type: Ramsey/Ramsay DNA Project in your web browser and you should get the Ramsey family DNA project website. Scroll down half a page and look for a red trailer that says: Click me to see the DNA Results. Check out the 142 male Ramsey members so far. You probably fit into one of those families. Then go to FamilyTreeDNA.com to see how you or some other male in your line can get tested. If you need further information send me a message through my email on the contacts tab.

Thanks for stopping by,
Fred Ramsey

Thank you for your wonderful site.
I just discovered the Alexander-Davidson Bible at the NC Archives site at a time when I have been driving over the mountains to visit my sister in Memphis. I am experiencing my first amazement at the accomplishments of those of my family who left North Carolina for Tennessee and Alabama.
I look forward to paying my respects on my next drive. Thank you again for a very well done site.

Fred, I see Tony Ojeda's comment prior to mine.

We all served together with MACV Advisory Team 99, Duc Hoa, Vietnam, 1966 - 1967. Tony and I would love to hear from you and possibly some how some time get together and talk about our past that we really never had a chance to do. Tony had a picture I know you would love to see.

jdobbs002@comcast.net or 281-455-2815, or Tony's in prior comment.

In searching for Team 99 veterans, I found the Ramsey Family Website, a fabulously engineered work of genealogical art. I served with Fred Ramsey in Duc Hoa, Vietnam in ’67 - ‘68. If you haven’t closed the Vietnam chapter, Fred, I would be thrilled to hear from you at aojeda512@aol.com. I found Sp5 Dobbs in Houston and have a lead on “Doc” Neal. Regards and Best Wishes .... Hi Ashley, we do not have a reunion planned for 2008. However, keep checking back because it will certainly happen by 2010 or before.
